Loureiro Accepts Award for Donation to National Multiple Sclerosis Society

Loureiro leadership members Bob Heslin (left) and Jeffrey Loureiro (right) accept an award from Lisa Gerrol, president and CEO of the National MS Society, Connecticut Chapter. Heslin is Director of Marketing/Business Development and Loureiro is CEO of the Plainville-based  Loureiro, a local company providing the highest quality engineering, construction, EH&S, energy, and waste management services to leading public and private organizations throughout North America since 1975.

Loureiro is a 100 percent employee owned company through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. As employee-owners, every employee has a direct stake in the company’s success and was a part of choosing to do a fundraiser to benefit families affected by multiple sclerosis. Together,the company contributed approximately $11,000 for the National MS Society,Connecticut Chapter, in honor of a retiring employee affected by multiple sclerosis. Donated funds ensure ongoing scientific research to find better treatments and a cure, and provide vital programs and services offered by the chapter.

Jeffrey Loureiro has over 37 years of experience in the management, planning, design, permitting, construction, and operation,monitoring and maintenance of a wide variety of projects in the fields of Civil and Environmental engineering. In his capacity as CEO, he is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of the firm’s strategic plan which is designed to ensure the continued growth, development and profitability of the organization. He also continues to consult on a variety of projects being undertaken by the company.
