Plainfield, CT
When United AG & Turf, the full-line John Deere equipment supplier, purchased a new retail and storage facility off Interstate 395 in Plainfield, CT, they needed a redesign that not only better reflected their style, but also accommodated their growing retail and maintenance needs. Thanks to the client’s previous relationships within the Loureiro team, they chose Loureiro Building Construction (LBC) to bring their visions to life.
The highly-visible, 19,000 sq. ft. building previously owned by a motorsports company had a unique gothic design that didn’t match United AG & Turf’s vision. To change that, it would require a full interior gut, aesthetic updates to the exterior, minor improvements to the second floor storage area, and a new 3,600 sq. ft. addition to house maintenance services.
Loureiro first worked with the client in a consulting capacity to redesign the existing structure, plan the new addition, and prepare for another addition down the road, while helping remove key aesthetic elements that gave it a modern look that would appeal to passersby.
With supply chain and labor issues at an all-time high, the interior remodel made our team hard pressed to get materials and recruit talented craftsmen needed to hit the deadlines. But Loureiro accounted for major delays, keeping a strong pulse on the industry through consistent communication with suppliers and ordering the necessary supplies and materials well in advance to push the project forward on schedule.
Loureiro was thrilled to be awarded this project and partner with United AG & Turf again as they embark on a massive expansion across the country. Loureiro has also been asked to evaluate their other Northeastern facilities as they grow into 11 new locations over the next couple of years.
