Loureiro was retained by The Black & Decker Corporation to demolish six buildings encompassing approximately 250,000 square feet at the former Kwikset Corporation facility located in Bristow, Oklahoma. The main facility building varied from approximately 15 to 30 feet in height and included elevated interior space for a mezzanine and second-floor offices. The steel frame buildings were constructed on spread footing foundations and included concrete slab-on-grade floors. The exterior walls of the main building were composed of fabricated metal panels. The initial building construction dates back to 1967. The concrete slab of the main plant was left in place to prevent exposure to underlying contaminated soil.
