  • FIN 47 Assessment and Update – For the past two years, Loureiro has conducted campus wide assessments/updates to define a defendable cost for Conditional Asset Retirement Obligation for the entire University as defined by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). The outcome of these revisions were accepted by third party auditors and resulted in financial benefits to the University.
  • Machine Guarding Assessments – Loureiro completed machine guarding assessments for roughly 100 fixed and portable machines throughout the campus.
  • Construction and Contractor Safety Support – Loureiro developed a Construction and Contractor Safety Guidebook which defines the university specific management system, compliance requirements, and university specific requirements applicable to contractors working on projects at the university. Loureiro has also provided an on-site Construction Safety Manager for a minimum duration of up to two years.
  • Lab Safety Support – Loureiro provides on-call lab safety support. Recently, Loureiro provided on-site and technical support specific to a pilot lab with highly hazardous gases, a research lab with very aggressive and reactive chemistries, and a research lab with regulated energetics.
  • Sustainability Field Trip – Loureiro setup and facilitated a field trip for the University’s Sustainability Class. Students visited a variety of local facilities specializing in the management and reuse of materials.
