The Connecticut Department of Transportation solicited bids for a new 27,400 square foot Bridge Maintenance Facility at their Middlesex Turnpike facility in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. Gar-San Corporation of Watertown, Connecticut was awarded the contract for construction of the new office and maintenance facility. Loureiro provided construction survey staking services as necessary for the footings and foundations, columns, and utilities for the new building structure.
The project included the construction of a single story steel frame facility composed of 15 maintenance vehicle bays, two welding shop/wood shop bays, and an office area. Loureiro performed our survey services using robotic instrumentation using one-man survey crews to control our survey costs for Gar-San Corporation.
