Services: Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
Client Served: Industrial

Industrial client is making major revisions to a 100,000 square foot assembly and test facility. As part of the renovation process, they wanted to explore options for air conditioning the facility.

Loureiro performed a study to compare seven options for air conditioning the facility. All options needed to include the ability to phase in the construction of the proposed systems to keep the building in full operation. The options considered ranged from distributed packaged roof top air conditioning units to a central chiller plant serving distributed air handling units. The study included HVAC load calculations, budgetary cost estimates and multiple comparative life cycle cost analyses for each of the options under consideration.

The report had to be structured so that the study intent and results could be quickly understood by upper management with minimal time or technical knowledge of the subject matter.
