Loureiro was retained to provide the client with the complete process with removing the old treatment system and installing a new treatment system in place.
Loureiro personnel decontaminated and demolished the existing wastewater treatment system. Loureiro then completed a treatability study to prove chemical treatment concept and design. Using the favorable results Loureiro designed a redundant batch treatment system to meet POTW permit limits. Upon design completion, Loureiro conducted all installation activities including: rigging, piping/ mechanical, electrical (power and control), and commissioning. As part of the installation, Loureiro was retained to design and install two custom platforms to provide access to the treatment system at three different elevations.
The system is designed to treat one 4,000 gallon batch, while the other collects wastewater. The system is equipped with all instrumentation to automatically record and report all necessary permit reporting requirements at the permit specified frequency. The system also includes an automated lime dilution process to provide operators with the ability to make slight and accurate changes in lime concentration for optimal results in concert with the system’s ability to automatically dose chemicals based on a batch contents variability.
