The presence of underutilized or vacant commercial and industrial properties in our urban centers is an opportunity to improve the tax base, create job growth, move people back into our urban centers, better utilize already existing infrastructure, and reduce or eliminate ongoing impacts to the environment. It has been estimated there are nearly 500,000 of these properties throughout the United States and the multidisciplinary team at Loureiro has partnered with municipalities, non-profits, developers, and regulatory agencies to identify, assess, and remediate these properties in such a way that results in a productive use. We understand the challenges and see them as nothing more than opportunities for a great solution.
