Internships and Co-op

Introducing aspiring engineers and designers to the world of engineering and construction has been a tradition at Loureiro over the years.  Our Co-Op/Internship program is one of the very best in the industry, offering excellent opportunities for students to expand their skill sets and apply their learnings in the real world, both during the academic school year and the summer. Students will be involved in projects with responsibilities across the business, so that they can explore their interests and discover their true passion. You’ll develop new skills and industry knowledge by working closely with experienced mentors, while enjoying team scavenger hunts, pizza and ice cream parties, lunch-n-learns, and more to celebrate your hard work and contributions.

Loureiro attends various college and university career fairs every year to find talented aspiring engineers and professionals who are self-motivated with standout leadership and problem-solving skills. Several previous Co-Ops/Interns have been hired as full-time employee-owners of our firm.

What is the most valuable thing you'll take away from your internship & why?

“The most valuable thing I will take away from my time here at Loureiro is the hands-on experience of being directly involved in marketing campaigns and tasks. This opportunity has allowed me to learn and apply numerous marketing strategies, create artistic content, and make connections with industry professionals. I have also had the amazing opportunity to learn many different programs that would not have been accessible to me without my internship. Overall, my time here at Loureiro has provided me with the skills, tools, and connections to be successful after graduation!”

–Olivia Pawlik, Marketing Intern

What really drew you to an internship at Loureiro before/during your internship search & interview process?

“In the internship search, I was initially drawn to Loureiro because it was clear I would be exposed to many diverse experiences, which was my goal for the summer. Once I applied and began to meet members of the Loureiro team in my interviews, it felt different from other companies. Everyone I spoke with was genuine, open, and eager to learn about my experiences as much as I was to learn about the company and position.”

–Riley Prewett, Facility Engineering Intern

What was your favorite moment or experience during your time at Loureiro?

“Deciding to return to Loureiro for a second summer was an easy decision. Since my first day at Loureiro I have felt extremely welcomed. Whether it’s exchanging a good morning or sharing stories from the weekend while waiting to get your morning coffee, you can count on a friendly face brightening your day. No matter the department everyone is very open and willing to answer any questions you may have which makes the environment very learner friendly. I have had the pleasure of not only working in the legal department, but also quality management and human resources all of which have been enjoyable because of the warm and welcoming people. I am thankful that I am able to continue to be a part of the Loureiro family and am looking forward to the future!”

–Arianna Fandozzi, Legal Intern
