Loureiro Celebrates ESOP Month

In October, Loureiro proudly celebrates ESOP Month, a special occasion to honor the exceptional efforts of our employee-owners whose remarkable contributions are instrumental in Loureiro's success.

We believe our firm's employee-owned status is a differentiator in our dedication to delivering exceptional client experiences. We encourage our team to take ownership in their work, as we firmly believe that their dedication and commitment merit a stake in the future of Loureiro.

Back in January of 1998, Loureiro's Board of Directors adopted the Loureiro Engineering Associates Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), allowing all eligible employees to become owners of Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. without having to invest their own money to purchase stock.

To ensure every voice is heard, we've established a committee of Loureiro employees to encourage and foster an ownership culture amongst employees. The goal of the committee is to provide education and communication between past and present employee owners, as well as trustees.

One of the activities we like to do each October is to play the ESOP games - a Monoply-esque board game that puts the player in the position of a CEO of an ESOP company. The game shows you how shares work, how to account for retiring employees, and more! The game helps put into perspective what an ESOP is and how it works.
