Overview

Highcroft Ridge is a sustainably designed community with a village feel. Providing a variety of housing types including ‘market-rate’ and ‘workforce’ apartments as well as condominiums, the dense development brings a diverse group together and provides a multitude of outdoor spaces to foster community activities and neighborly interactions.

Approach

The project was implemented in three phases. The first phase was the central area of the site including apartment buildings, detached garages, clubhouse/pool, mail center, trash recycling center, playground and grilling patios. The second phase includes ‘workforce’ apartments, detached garages, dog run, pavilion and grilling patios. The third phase consists of condominiums buildings, dog run and dedicated mail center.

Throughout the construction process special care was exercised to preserve as much of the existing forest as possible and establish a healthy edge habitat.

Results

Amenities are integrated throughout the community to supplement Highcroft Lodge, the award-winning resident center. The Lodge leads outside to a refreshing, saltwater pool with loungers and cabanas, and boasts a large sunning terrace. The patio features covered porches, an outdoor grilling kitchen, bocce court, and a relaxing fire pit.
