The Outstanding Performance Awards

At Loureiro, we know we’re only as strong as our people. The drive, ingenuity, and commitment of our team members fuel our success and set us apart in the industry.
That’s why we created the Outstanding Performance Awards (OPA)—to recognize and reward employees who go above and beyond, exemplify our core values, and make a lasting impact on our clients and colleagues.
Now in its second year, the OPA program was developed as part of our overall profit-sharing strategy. As an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company, we believe in sharing our success, and this initiative ensures that top performers across Loureiro—whether in Engineering, Corporate, Building Construction (LBC), or Contractors Inc. (LCI)—are acknowledged for their outstanding contributions.
But what makes this award truly special? It’s peer-driven.
Every year in late November, our employees have the opportunity to nominate their colleagues for an OPA, highlighting those who demonstrate exceptional leadership, problem-solving, client relationship-building, and teamwork. After nominations are submitted, a panel of leaders carefully reviews the entries before presenting finalists to the Board of Directors for approval.
This year, we received several nominations from across the company, resulting in 30 recipients being honored for their exceptional contributions. Each recipient’s nomination included words from their colleagues, detailing how they made a difference—whether by leading with passion, solving complex challenges, or stepping up to support a team in need.
Here’s just one example of what was said about an awardee:
"[Employee Name] started with LCI in March of 2024 and immediately began to make an impact. He embraced his position with a thirst for knowledge and a drive to get the job done. His efforts were instrumental in getting our two largest 2024 projects kicked off properly, and he has been a driving force for continued success on these projects through this past construction season. His curiosity to learn and his commitment to supporting the crews in the field align with our company’s core values of Teamwork and Client Focus.”
OPA isn’t just about recognizing those who bring in new business but also about celebrating the people who keep Loureiro running. From accounting and administration to project management and field operations, this award spans every corner of our organization.
As we continue to refine and enhance this program, we remain committed to recognizing those who make Loureiro a great place to work and an indispensable partner for our clients.
