Loureiro Expands Building and Land Engineering Division

Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. (Loureiro) is pleased to announce the addition of two seasoned industry professionals to its growing Building and Land Engineering Division.

Kurt Prochorena, PE, LEED AP has joined the company as Vice President, Building & Land Engineering. Prochorena, a professional engineer with 30 years of experience, is licensed in Connecticut, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

He previously worked for a Boston-based consulting firm where he served as a Principal and managed the company’s Connecticut office. His experience includes public and private sector projects for educational facilities, infrastructure improvements, multi-family housing and industrial/commercial facilities. Prochorena earned a Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering from Norwich University.

“Kurt is an experienced leader with a proven track record of successful project management,” stated David Fiereck, President. “His resume encompasses everything from schools and warehouses to roads and bridges. His broad range of site design experience will take our Building and Land Engineering Division to the next level.”

Christopher Blaze has joined the company as Director, Land and Utility Survey, bringing more than 20 years of surveying experience to this role. He served as Detachment Operations Chief and Senior Instructor at the Department of Defense Joint Services Surveying School during his 15 years as a U.S. Marine and achieved the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.

Following his military service, Blaze served as executive director of operations and equity partner for Exacta Land Surveyors of Cleveland, Ohio. He has consulted for the geospatial industry on operations and mergers and acquisitions including a National ALTA provider and investment firms seeking to enter the market. He comes to Loureiro from G-Source Technologies LLC, an international CAD/design company where he served as director of sales. Blaze earned a bachelors degree in liberal arts from the Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
