Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. (Loureiro) is pleased to announce the promotion of Matt Quaranta to vice president of the firm’s Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (SMEP) and Environmental Engineering divisions. In his new role, Matt will be responsible for operational and business development strategies within these divisions.

Quaranta previously served as Director of Environmental Engineering, responsible for technical direction and project delivery. He grew the firm’s offerings for design, installation, and operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems and environmental remediation systems.

“Matt has demonstrated repeatedly that he is well-suited for and capable of assuming this expanded role,” states senior vice president Sean Crowell. “His eagerness to take on additional responsibilities supports our belief that he is an effective leader who exemplifies Loureiro’s core values.”

With the continued advancement of the industry, Quaranta will be focused on strengthening the exchange between the operating divisions and subsidiaries of Loureiro for integrated project delivery. Since joining the firm in 2011, Matt has combined his detailed technical knowledge and expertise for the planning, design, and construction of complex projects at active industrial and manufacturing facilities.  His experience supporting both small- and large-scale opportunities during his tenure at Loureiro has enabled the success of several strategic efforts.

Matt received both his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Environmental Engineering from the University of Connecticut and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Connecticut.
